Conbraco Industries is our dominant relief valve line with 2,500+ products. Their safety relief valve catalog covers three major types for boiler and heating system applications:
10-series Hot Water Relief Valves — ASME-rated hot water pressure relief valves in 3/4" through 2-1/2" NPT connections. Set pressures from 30 to 125 PSI with BTU capacities from under 2,000,000 to over 19,000,000 BTU/hr. The 10-600 series covers standard commercial sizes; the 10-606, 10-615, 10-617, and 10-618 series cover larger commercial and industrial capacities.
12-series Steam Relief Valves — ASME Section IV steam pressure relief valves in 3/4" through 2" NPT. Typically set at 15 PSI for low-pressure steam boiler service, with capacities rated in PPH (pounds per hour of steam). The 12-205-08 (2" NPT, 15 PSI, 2,500 PPH) is a common commercial steam boiler relief valve.
13-series Steam Relief Valves — smaller ASME Section IV steam relief valves for residential and small commercial steam boilers. The 13-211-B15 (3/4" NPT, 15 PSI, 475 PPH) and 13-214-B15 (1.5"x2", 15 PSI, 1,900 PPH) are common steam boiler safety valves.
Bell & Gossett (a Xylem brand) stocks 16 ASME-rated bronze hot water relief valves in the 110-series. Available in 3/4" and 1" NPT connections with set pressures from 30 to 125 PSI and BTU capacities from 900,000 to 3,735,000 BTU/hr. These are the standard B&G hot water heating system relief valves for commercial boilers and heating systems.
Common models include 110122 (3/4", 36 PSI, 900,000 BTU/hr), 110127 (3/4", 125 PSI, 2,535,000 BTU/hr), 110135 (1", 125 PSI, 3,735,000 BTU/hr), and 110129 (1", 30 PSI, 1,170,000 BTU/hr).
Cash Acme manufactures temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valves for commercial and residential water heaters, as well as pressure reducing valves (PRVs) for water systems. Their EB-45 series and related T&P relief valves are widely used on gas and electric water heaters as the required safety device that relieves on both high temperature (210°F) and high pressure (150 PSI) conditions.
Cash Acme T&P relief valves are ASME-rated, ANSI Z21.22 certified, and are a direct replacement for water heater T&P relief valves on most residential and light commercial water heaters.
Kunkle Valve (an Emerson brand) manufactures industrial-grade ASME safety relief valves for steam, air, gas, and liquid service at higher pressures and capacities than standard commercial boiler relief valves. Kunkle valves are available for ASME Section I (power boilers), Section IV (heating boilers), and Section VIII (pressure vessels), with relief capacities certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. Kunkle valves are commonly specified on industrial steam boilers, pressure vessels, and process equipment.
From 15 PSI steam boiler safety valves to 125 PSI hot water relief valves and industrial pressure vessel valves — we cover every boiler room safety relief requirement. Call our team with your pressure rating, pipe size, and required capacity.
Required on all hot water boilers and hot water heating systems. Set pressure must not exceed the boiler's maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP). Available in 30–125 PSI set pressures with BTU capacities sized to the boiler output. Conbraco 10-series and Bell & Gossett 110-series.
Required on all low-pressure steam boilers. Typically set at 15 PSI for residential and commercial steam heating systems. Capacities rated in PPH (pounds per hour of steam). Conbraco 12-series (3/4"–2" NPT) and 13-series (3/4"–1.5" NPT).
Required on water heaters. Relieves on both high temperature (210°F) and high pressure (150 PSI) conditions. Cash Acme EB-45 series and related models. ANSI Z21.22 and ASME rated for water heater service.
For power boilers, pressure vessels, and process equipment at higher pressures than commercial heating boilers. Kunkle Valve (an Emerson brand) ASME Section I, Section IV, and Section VIII rated valves for steam, air, gas, and liquid service — certified by the National Board.
Reduce supply pressure to a lower, stable downstream pressure in water distribution systems. Cash Acme PRVs for commercial and residential water system pressure control.
Conbraco also stocks water gauges, liquid level gauges, and gauge cocks (20, 24, 25, 26 series) for boiler room pressure and level monitoring applications.

Common questions about boiler safety relief valves, steam relief valves, and hot water relief valves. Contact our team or call (901) 458-2000 for selection help.
What is a boiler relief valve and why is it required?
A boiler relief valve (safety relief valve or pressure relief valve) opens automatically when system pressure exceeds the valve's set pressure — releasing water or steam to prevent over-pressurization that could damage the boiler or create an explosion hazard. ASME Section IV requires relief valves on all hot water and steam heating boilers. The relief valve set pressure must not exceed the boiler's maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) stamped on the boiler nameplate.
What is the difference between a steam relief valve and a hot water relief valve?
Steam relief valves (Conbraco 12 and 13 series) are rated for steam service and capacity is measured in PPH (pounds per hour of steam). Typically set at 15 PSI for low-pressure steam heating. Hot water relief valves (Conbraco 10 series, B&G 110 series) are rated for liquid service and capacity is measured in BTU/hr. Typically set between 30 and 125 PSI. You must use the correct type for your system — using a hot water valve on a steam boiler or vice versa is a code violation and a safety hazard.
How do I select the right relief valve for my boiler?
You need three pieces of information: (1) System type — steam or hot water; (2) Set pressure — must not exceed the boiler MAWP on the nameplate (15 PSI for low-pressure steam; 30–125 PSI for hot water); (3) Capacity — BTU/hr (hot water) or PPH (steam) must equal or exceed the boiler's output. Call us at (901) 458-2000 with your boiler make, model, and nameplate information and we'll identify the correct valve.
What is a T&P relief valve on a water heater?
A T&P (temperature and pressure) relief valve is required on all water heaters. It opens on either high temperature (typically 210°F) or high pressure (typically 150 PSI) — whichever occurs first. T&P relief valves are ANSI Z21.22 and ASME rated. Cash Acme manufactures the most common T&P relief valves for residential and commercial water heater applications.
What is the difference between ASME Section IV and Section I relief valves?
ASME Section IV covers heating boilers — low-pressure steam (15 PSI max) and hot water heating boilers (160 PSI, 250°F max). Most commercial building boilers fall under Section IV. ASME Section I covers power boilers — high-pressure steam above 15 PSI, typically in industrial facilities and process plants. Kunkle Valve (an Emerson brand) manufactures ASME Section I, Section IV, and Section VIII (pressure vessel) safety relief valves certified by the National Board. Conbraco and Bell & Gossett relief valves are ASME Section IV rated for heating boiler service.
