Commercial & Industrial Gas Pressure Regulators — Available by Request

Sensus Gas Division manufactures a comprehensive range of gas pressure regulators for residential, commercial, industrial, and gas distribution applications. Their regulators are widely specified on boilers, burners, unit heaters, furnaces, ovens, and industrial process equipment — and are a common alternative to Maxitrol in commercial and industrial gas system design.

Key Sensus regulator series we can source:

143-80 Series — domestic and small commercial service regulators in 3/4" to 1-1/4" NPT. Available with internal relief valve (IRV) and low pressure cutoff (LPCO). Used on burners, unit heaters, boilers, and commercial gas equipment.

243 Series — large capacity commercial and industrial service regulators in 1-1/4" to 2" NPT (flanged versions available). Designed for factories, boilers, burners, furnaces, restaurants, hospitals, and gas distribution applications. Available with internal relief valve (IRV) and pilot-operated versions.

122 Series — high capacity industrial combustion regulators in 1" to 2-1/2" NPT with internal sensing for accurate pressure control without an external control line. Used on industrial combustion systems where high flow and fast response are required.

121 Series — versatile regulator family in 1" to 2-1/2" NPT covering standard, zero governor, differential, back pressure, and relief valve configurations for commercial and industrial service lines.

Maxitrol Product Series

325 Series — Lever-Acting Regulators

The most common Maxitrol regulator for commercial and light industrial applications. Available in 3/8" through 2" NPT with inlet pressures up to 10 PSIG (Maxitrol-rated) and outlet pressure ranges from 3.5" to 14" W.C. depending on spring selection. Capacities from 140,000 BTU (325-3 in 3/8"/1/2") up to 2,250,000 BTU (325-9 in 2" NPT). Widely used on unit heaters, boilers, rooftop heating units, and commercial cooking equipment.

RV Series — Spring-Loaded & Straight-Thru Regulators

The RV47 and RV48 series are compact spring-loaded regulators for low-pressure gas service (1/2 PSIG max inlet). RV47L and RV48 available in 3/8" and 1/2" NPT with fixed outlet settings. The RV91 is a large-capacity straight-thru flow regulator for 1-1/4" to 2" NPT applications up to 7,500,000 BTU. Lead-free (LF) versions available for potable water-adjacent applications.

210 & 220 Series — Large Commercial/Industrial Regulators

Heavy-duty gas appliance regulators for large commercial and industrial applications. The 210 series covers 1" to 3" NPT with capacities up to 26,000,000 BTU (210G-3). The 220 series provides pilot-loaded regulation for critical pressure-sensitive applications. Used on large boilers, industrial process burners, and high-capacity commercial heating equipment.

Pakstat Series — Discharge Air Temperature Controls

The Pakstat P14 and P64 series are discharge air temperature sensing and modulating controls for Maxitrol modulating systems on gas-fired unit heaters and rooftop equipment. P14 series covers 150–550°F; P64 series covers 50–250°F. Used with TS114/TD114 discharge air sensors.

TS114 / TD114 — Discharge Air Temperature Sensors

Room and discharge air temperature sensors and selectors for Maxitrol modulating gas valve systems. TS114 (temperature sensor) and TD114 (discharge air selector) cover 55–90°F sensing range for modulating gas control on unit heaters and rooftop heating equipment.

KR Series — Repair & Accessory Kits

Replacement parts and accessory kits for Maxitrol regulators including pilot loading kits (KR220J), seal caps with gaskets (KR-2012), and service components for 210/220 series regulators. Used for field repair and maintenance of Maxitrol gas regulators.

Gas Regulators — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Maxitrol gas pressure regulators. Contact our team or call (901) 458-2000 for selection help.

What does a gas pressure regulator do?

A gas pressure regulator reduces upstream gas supply pressure from the utility line to a lower, stable outlet pressure suitable for the appliance. Most commercial gas appliances require outlet pressure in the range of 3.5" to 14" W.C., while supply line pressure may be much higher. The regulator maintains consistent outlet pressure regardless of variations in supply pressure or downstream demand — ensuring safe and efficient combustion in boilers, unit heaters, commercial cooking equipment, and industrial burners.

What is the Maxitrol 325 series used for?

The Maxitrol 325 series is the most common lever-acting gas pressure regulator for commercial and light industrial heating equipment — unit heaters, rooftop heating units, commercial boilers, and commercial cooking equipment. Available in 3/8" through 2" NPT with inlet pressures up to 10 PSIG (Maxitrol-rated) and outlet pressure ranges depending on the spring selected. Capacities range from 140,000 BTU (325-3 in 3/8" and 1/2") up to 2,250,000 BTU (325-9 in 2" NPT).

What is the difference between the Maxitrol 325 and 210 series?

The 325 series is a lever-acting regulator for smaller commercial applications in 3/8" to 1" NPT pipe sizes. The 210 series is a heavy-duty gas appliance regulator for larger commercial and industrial applications in 1" to 3" NPT, with capacities up to 26,000,000 BTU (210G-3). The 220 series is a pilot-loaded version of the 210 for applications requiring more precise pressure control. Use the 325 series for most commercial heating; use the 210/220 series for large boilers, industrial burners, and high-BTU commercial equipment.

What is a Maxitrol Pakstat?

A Maxitrol Pakstat is a discharge air temperature sensing control used in Maxitrol modulating gas valve systems on gas-fired unit heaters and rooftop heating equipment. The Pakstat senses discharge air temperature and modulates the gas valve to maintain a setpoint temperature — improving fuel efficiency over simple on/off control. The P14 Pakstat covers 150–550°F; the P64 covers 50–250°F. They work with TS114 and TD114 discharge air sensors.

How do I select the right Maxitrol gas regulator?

You need four pieces of information: (1) pipe size — the NPT connection size at the regulator location; (2) inlet pressure — the gas supply pressure upstream of the regulator in PSIG or inches W.C.; (3) required outlet pressure — typically 3.5" to 14" W.C., specified on the appliance nameplate; (4) BTU capacity — the maximum gas flow in BTU/hr the regulator must pass. Call us at (901) 458-2000 with these details and we'll identify the right Maxitrol model.

Do you carry Sensus Gas Division regulators?

Yes — Memphis Control Center sources Sensus Gas Division gas pressure regulators by request. Key Sensus series include the 143-80 (domestic and small commercial service regulator, 3/4"–1-1/4" NPT, for burners, unit heaters, and boilers), the 243 (large capacity commercial and industrial regulator, 1-1/4"–2" NPT, for boilers, burners, furnaces, restaurants, hospitals, and gas distribution), the 122 (high capacity industrial combustion regulator, 1"–2-1/2" NPT), and the 121 series for commercial and industrial service line applications. Call us at (901) 458-2000 with your Sensus model number and we'll confirm availability and pricing.
