The Antunes JD-2 is a diaphragm-type, SPDT snap-action air differential pressure switch in a rugged die-cast aluminum housing with a visible on/off indicator. The spring color identifies the adjustable pressure range — choose the color that covers your required setpoint. All standard JD-2 models are auto reset, SPDT rated at 10A · 1/8 HP · 125 VAC / 5A · 1/4 HP · 250 VAC · Pilot Duty 125 VA, 1/8" NPT connections, rated -20°F to 140°F, max 35" W.C. operating pressure, max surge 3 PSIG. Antunes HLGP-A — High/Low Gas Pressure Switch, Manual Reset. Monitors both high and low gas supply pressure in a single unit — trips and requires manual reset if pressure goes above the high setpoint or below the low setpoint. 2-SPDT contacts. Adjustable pressure ranges: High 5–28" W.C. (3/8" NPT) and Low 1–6" W.C. (1/8" NPT), with additional range options available. Required by ASME CSD-1 for proving gas pressure within acceptable limits before and during burner operation.

Antunes RHLGP-A — High/Low Gas Pressure Switch, Auto Reset. Same function as the HLGP-A but with automatic reset — the switch automatically resets when pressure returns to within the acceptable range, without requiring manual intervention. 2-SPDT contacts. How do I choose the right JD-2 color?

The JD-2 spring color identifies the adjustable pressure range — choose the color whose range includes your required setpoint: Blue (0.07–1.7" W.C.) for very low pressure; Grey (0.1–4.0" W.C.) for low-range air proving; Purple (0.1–10.0" W.C.) for mid-range; Red (0.1–24.0" W.C.) for wide-range; Orange (5.0–35.0" W.C.) for higher pressure ranges. What is the JD-2 used for on a commercial boiler?

The Antunes JD-2 is an air differential pressure switch used to prove combustion air flow — a function called air proving. It senses the pressure differential created by the combustion air blower to confirm air is moving before allowing the burner to fire. If the fan fails or loses capacity, the pressure drops and the JD-2 opens its contacts to prevent ignition or shut down the burner. Air proving switches are required by ASME CSD-1 and NFPA 85 on commercial boilers. The JD-2 can also be used for duct air pressure, vacuum, and differential pressure applications.

What is the difference between the HLGP-A and RHLGP-A?

Both monitor high and low gas pressure in a single unit with 2-SPDT contacts. The difference is the reset mechanism: the HLGP-A requires manual reset — an operator must physically press the reset button after a trip. The RHLGP-A has automatic reset — it resets when gas pressure returns to within the acceptable range. ASME CSD-1 requires manual reset gas pressure switches on boilers above certain input ratings — check your local code requirements to confirm which your application requires.
