Description
The Fireye UV2 is a compact, non-self-checking ultraviolet flame scanner equipped with a 3 ft TC-ER rated cable and 3/8" NPT mounting collar. It’s designed to detect ultraviolet radiation emitted by flames, making it suitable for various burner applications where compact, reliable flame monitoring is critical.
The internal UV tube is filled with a special gas that becomes conductive when exposed to UV radiation from a flame. When the flame is present, ionization of the gas allows current to flow between internal electrodes, creating a detectable flame signal. That signal is then sent to the connected amplifier to control burner operation.
