Description
The Fireye 45UV5-1000 is a rugged ultraviolet self-checking flame scanner designed to detect UV radiation emitted by flames from most fossil fuels, including natural gas, propane, methane, butane, diesel, kerosene, and light petroleum distillates.
When paired with a compatible Fireye control amplifier such as the 25SU3 or 25SU5, the 45UV5 provides continuous flame monitoring and self-checking safety verification to meet NFPA and other industrial standards. Ideal for use on utility boilers, power boilers, furnaces, and incinerators, the scanner is designed to monitor a single burner flame—either pilot or main—or both in combination.
Note: Not recommended for steam-atomized oil or pulverized coal burners—use IR scanners instead.
